The studio, based in Salford, has had acts such as Elbow, Bjork, Gorillaz, One Direction, Mark Ronson and more through its doors.
We love the video they posted shortly after the lift was installed of one very happy customer (click the link to watch).
Penny Engineering design, manufacture and install a range of lifting solutions to solve problems that businesses such as Blueprint Studios were experiencing.
Northern Sales Account Manager Andy Griffiths worked on this project:
‘It was clear from my first visit that something was very wrong with the way in which Blueprint were moving items. They were using a hoist system from the car park to get valuable instruments and recording equipment up to the upper-level recording studio. When the hoist was at the upper level the equipment had to be passed through a window. The solution was clear, a Penny Engineering Goods Lift provided a safe and secure way to move items between floors.’
Andy performed a free site visit to review the area where the lift was needed and to discuss the requirements of the business.
After conducting the meeting Andy worked with our in-house Design Engineers to specify the correct lifting solution to fit the space and meet the needs of the customer.
‘Taking into consideration the space, the weight and travel distance required for the lift our solution was the 500kg Mezz Pro. The order was placed and 6 weeks later we had installed the goods lift.’
Andy Griffith, Goods Lift Sales Account Manager.
Gary was impressed with our installation team’s timeliness and ability to solve problems on site:
‘The installation team were always on time and worked hard to accommodate any requirements we had during the installation. They also solved any minor adjustments effortlessly making sure the installation didn’t overrun.’

Now Blueprint Studios can advertise that their upper floor studio is easy to access, removing the barrier that customers faced in the hope of attracting more artists.
